The Ebonyi State Internal Revenue Service is the state government agency charged with the singular responsibility to assess, collect and account for all accruable revenue due to the state from individuals and non-incorporated bodies (institutions and organizations) as approved by relevant Federal and State laws. The reconstituted Board was created, pursuant to Section 19(1) of the Finance (Amendment) Law of Ebonyi State. The Ebonyi State Internal Revenue Service, as the major revenue generating Agency of the Government, has taken on the challenge of increasing the IGR of the State through the adoption and implementation of various pioneering strategies and policies which have impacted positively on revenue generation and collection.
